UP Scholarship Pre & Post Matric 2026 Online Form


Short Information: Social Welfare Department, Uttar Pradesh (UP Social Welfare) has released the online application portal for UP Scholarship Session 2026-2027. Eligible students studying in Class 9th, 10th (Pre-Matric), Class 11th, 12th (Post-Matric Inter), and Dashmottar courses (UG, PG, ITI, Diploma, B.A, B.Sc, B.Com, M.A, M.Sc, M.Com, B.Ed, B.Tech, BTC/D.El.Ed, etc.) can register online. Both Fresh and Renewal applicants studying in recognized UP institutions are eligible. Annual Family Income Limit
  • General / OBC / EWS / Minority: Annual family income must not exceed ₹2,00,000/- (2 Lakhs) per annum.
  • SC / ST Category: Annual family income must not exceed ₹2,50,000/- (2.5 Lakhs) per annum.
Course-Wise Level & Eligibility
  • Pre-Matric (Class 9th & 10th): Passed Class 8 and enrolled in Class 9 or Class 10 in a UP recognized school.
  • Post-Matric Intermediate (Class 11th & 12th): Passed Class 10 and enrolled in Class 11 or Class 12.
  • Post-Matric Other Than Inter (Dashmottar): Enrolled in Undergraduate (BA, B.Sc, B.Com, B.Tech, MBBS, B.Ed, etc.), Postgraduate (MA, M.Sc, M.Com, M.Tech, etc.), Diploma, Polytechnic, ITI, or Certificate courses in a UP recognized institute.
  • Post-Matric Outside State: UP domicile students enrolled in government/recognized institutions located in other states.
Mandatory Requirements & Documents
  • Aadhaar Seeding: Bank account must be active, linked with Aadhaar, and enabled for Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT/NPCI mapping).
  • DigiLocker & OTR Verification: One Time Registration (OTR) and DigiLocker account authentication are required on the official portal.
  • Mobile Number Linkage: Mobile number must be registered with Aadhaar for OTP verification.
  • Income Certificate: Valid Income Certificate issued by competent authority.
  • Caste & Domicile: Caste Certificate (for OBC/SC/ST/EWS) & UP Domicile Certificate.
  • Academic Records: Last Qualifying Exam Marksheet, Fee Receipt, and College Enrollment Number.

HOW TO FILL UP SCHOLARSHIP ONLINE FORM 2026-27
  • Step 1 - OTR Registration: Visit the UP Scholarship portal and complete One Time Registration (OTR) using Aadhaar details.
  • Step 2 - Fresh / Renewal Registration: Open scholarship.up.gov.in, navigate to 'Student' tab -> 'Registration', select your scheme category (General/OBC/SC/ST/Minority) and class level.
  • Step 3 - DigiLocker Verification: Complete DigiLocker Aadhaar authentication using OTP sent to your registered mobile number.
  • Step 4 - Application Submission: Enter academic qualifications, college admission/roll number, non-refundable fee structure, and bank account credentials.
  • Step 5 - Form Checking & Print Draft: Download the 'Draft Copy', carefully check all details against your marksheets/Aadhaar.
  • Step 6 - Lock Application & Final Print: Lock your application after verification. Print the Final Copy generated 3 days after locking.
  • Step 7 - Hard Copy Submission: Submit the signed final print along with photocopies of all supporting certificates to your school/college institute.
