Short Information: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially released the notification for the 22nd edition of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) September 2026 session. The examination is scheduled to be conducted on September 6, 2026, across 132 cities in 20 languages. This national-level test determines the eligibility for appointment as a teacher for classes I to VIII. Eligibility Details
Level Educational Qualification
Primary Level (Class I-V) Senior Secondary (10+2) with 50% marks + 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (OR) 4-year B.El.Ed (OR) 2-year Diploma in Special Education (OR) Graduation with 50% marks and B.Ed.
Junior Level (Class VI-VIII) Graduation + 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (OR) Graduation with 50% marks + 1-year B.Ed (OR) 4-year B.El.Ed / B.A.Ed / B.Sc.Ed.
Exam Pattern (Offline OMR Mode)
  • Paper I (Primary): Child Development (30), Language I (30), Language II (30), Maths (30), EVS (30). Total 150 Marks.
  • Paper II (Junior): Child Development (30), Language I (30), Language II (30), Maths & Science or Social Studies (60). Total 150 Marks.
  • Duration: 150 Minutes (2.5 Hours) per paper. No Negative Marking.

  • Click on the link "Apply for CTET September 2026".
  • Register yourself and note down the system-generated Application Number.
  • Fill the online application form with personal and educational details.
  • Upload scanned images of latest photograph and signature in JPG/JPEG format.
  • Pay the examination fee through Debit/Credit Card or Net Banking.
  • Download the confirmation page and keep a printout for future reference.
